it's one thing to be purely ignorant, but it's another to be unprepared and full of yourself while showing people you know it all, when you know NOTHING.
if you wish to suck up and follow your boss onboard the vessel, please make sure you know who's captaining the vessel (i.e. do your bloody homework). don't go up onboard and talk to the capt without evening knowing that you are speaking to him. and please don't sum up your stupidity by asking the capt, who is the capt of the vessel. he is standing right in front of you, you fuckhead.
but it's ok. because as long as you know how to eat bananas and lick lollipops, you would surely be promoted to a senior position. esp since you've only been ard for just a couple of months. so, go. walk around like you own the world. walk around not knowing that people are talking and laughing at you. walk around like the yao ghui and cheapo that you are. just please, don't step on my toes. because i can't guarantee what's going to come out of my mouth and if so, i certainly won't apologise.
